buttermilk and soamp story
Buttermilk and soamp story
Once when we were waiting in a restaurant was chatting with a girl next to me. And she said that she wants to order a kichidi. I said that is so easy to make. She said yes, but my stomach is upset so don’t have the energy to make. So we were chatting and I suggested have buttermilk with asafoetida and salt. If possible curry leaves and ginger too, and the stomach will be better.
She grinned and said how to make buttermilk?
I was taken aback. Sari thaan. Idukku mela en a pesuvadhu?
So today was talking to another girl about soamp Keerai that Karnataka people use in the vadai. And one farmer said that it was grown from soamp. Though I was skeptical I did not say any thing because a farmer said that.
When I did my research because my hunch said that it was a mooligai, then found t it was sadhakuppai. It has a faint resemblance of a soamp.

After all this story she asked me, soamp is that greeen one right?

She laughed and left.
