Copy cat or trying to relive the past

when we decided to prepone our move from the UK to India, we were searching for so many lands and then found some connect here. I always trust my instincts and it has never let me down. without even knowing the builder or the promoter we just selected and handover so much cash and after a year with lot of fear the registration of the land was done. so many problems and issues. but God is with us. Nature wanted us to do so much work. so we carried on.
this is after a year of getting the Barren land. even before the house construction started we planted around 30 fruit trees.
we wanted a courtyard house, but the promoter changed the design and gave us an normal house. we agreed because we did not have an option, we needed a roof to go, because we were always standing under the sun and working and no rest place or bathrooms. we had to rush back in 2 o 3 hours to a restaurant that was 15 kms away to have food or use the restrooms.
but anyway we are happy that something came up. we will always get only what we deserve and since I am practicing surrender now, I am happy actually. we wanted a smallest space for the house because our goal was to have as much green space as possible.
so it is a one bedroom house. with a Ottu veedu, the tiles mimic the village house.
we wanted an open kitchen with the traditional stove and an oven.
and we wanted to improvise the oven with a rocket stove. but practically with so much wind the lighting of the stove was such a challenge.
after 3 years of buying we are blessed to have so much greenery, so many birds flying inside the land, squirrels and crows parrots and peacocks and butterflies and the bees.
this year we decided to build a well, sort of its a storage for water for the summer.
we have done rain water harvesting and in 15 minutes of rain a storage of 1000 litres of water fills up.
we have set up a solar too, but its not fully functional because of the safety reasons in the village.
I have set up wooden cupboards and brass vessels. but till now we do not get time to cook there because outdoor work itself is so hectic we hardly get time to eat.
we have a dearth of labourers so there is only one person who waters the plants everyday. other than that on a need basis if they are available we employ them to handpick weeds.
