forgotten herb
I recently attended an.organic சந்தை in chennai.
as I bought other stuff and was leaving saw a lady selling all greens stuff.
went and saw her selling very different types of greens. And saw this fruit/vegetable.
asked her what it was. She said poonaikaali.
have heard and seen.poonaikaali seeds and to an extent know it’s benefits but this was new. She said this is the vegetable.
and that it was rich in.protein and in their village they cook thos with dhall.
and another fruit that I have not seen this size.
Ilandhai kaai. Such a big size.
then I bought them. Told her atleast I can write about this,since many might not have seen them.
need to find out from her more about cooking these and also it’s medicinal uses.
the சந்தைப் takes place every second Sunday in Baby secondary school in West tambaram.
