sundakai, thatakai, vendakai sambhar
Yesterday another hectic day in farmhouse.
you wont believe just 1/4 of land we are literally squeezed out of energy. Imagine having more acres.
i guess farmers do.one type of crop, sow, spray chemicals, pesticides, harvest, sell.
but we are doing like a research. So search for native seeds, prepare soil, accordingly, make soil mixture, then sow, then hand weed everything, spray organic mix, then harvest.
yesterday again there were four laborers so we had to plan work for all of them. This time we planned a different way to grow tomatoes.
so as they were doing, i plucked few sundakai. Sometimes i just keep watching
no energy to harvest too. On the side a small thatakai plant grew we never sowed thatakai, thats the beauty of nature. Two years before we had sowed it in a different place. We left the seeds to dry in plant, they burst fell somewhere else and grew.
and ladies finger we put all the seeds together. A handfull. They all grew together. One of the guy got upset. He removed all of them and sowed for us.
yesterday one day work both of us with the labourers. Of course they did 95 percent.
we in between also cooked lunch, went to the main village to refill gas, made tea for them twice, washed vessels, cleaned the house.
harvest three full big bunch of lemongrass
tied green mesh for tomatoes
Carried half a load of red sand for other plants and tomato bed
planted ladies finger naathu
sowed beetroot seeds
sowed some ladys finger seeds
sowed small onions in ragi bed
Harvested a handull of green gram
removed last years turmeric
so today after a long struggle to wake up from bed, got up and went to kitchen
took all the kaais, with one tomato and curry leaf from our balcony made sambhar.
ennaaa manam. Oore thookum nu solluvaanga. I experienced it. I added our sambhar podi too. Vera level.
oru kai thaan all veggies. No onions too.
Dosai, and our cow ghee with this tuvaram paruppu sambhar was heaven.
ada ponga, for this taste i am ready to slog.
