Survival cooking 2
When health is fine, we can do anything. as my friend last week suggested, all these years I was running to earn money, and now in 5 years I am going to retire, but now my health is taking its toll. very true statement.
this is another type of survival food that I made for us. less than 20 mins.
bought ID chapati. cooked two out of it.
in another stove, placed the pressure cooker, stove on, but in simmer, poured a tsp of oil, added jeera seeds and mustard seeds. when mustard seeds crackled, added 4 green chillies, by the time chopped onions and added to it. still in simmer, took the palak greens out of the fridge and removed all the roots in one cut. and chopped the greens into big chunks and washed it twice in water. then took the leaves from the top and added to the cooker, while it was cooking, measured a half cup of paasi paruppu (moong Dhall) and washed it. added it. then measured around 2 cups water and closed it. in 2 whistles it was ready. ate roti and palak Dhall with curd. simple, nourishing and fulfilling.
